What is a ceilidh?
A ceilidh is a social gathering that includes music and Scottish dancing.
If I book the Jim Jam Ceilidh Band, what do I get?
We will work closely with you to ensure that we fit in perfectly with your event. Our performance and timings will be tailored directly around your event.
Alongside ceilidh dancing, we can also provide folk and cover songs, a disco/DJ set and background music.
What if we don’t know how to ceilidh dance?
Worry not! We are experienced ceilidh callers and can walk and talk you through all of the dances we do. We have taught people from all around the globe how to do Scottish dancing and we are also happy to jump onto the dance floor and give a physical demonstration too!
Will the Jim Jam Ceilidh Band travel for my event?
We are happy to travel the length and breadth of the country – and further afield – to perform for you!
Do you use a PA system and how long does it take the band to set up?
We use a top of the range PA system for all of our ceilidhs. It is a relatively small sound system that doesn’t compromise on quality or volume. We take less than an hour to set up and sound check, however we always arrive a full hour before we start playing.
